Student Tours:
How long are the field trips?
Tours range from between 3.00 to 5.30 hours in length. Because of
the variance in school arrival and dismissal times, times for beginning & ending tour
will be customized to fit your school's needs.
What should students wear?
Student Tours are as much phys. ed. trips as art/architectural tours.
Students should wear comfortable shoes and clothes appropriate to
the weather. We will be outdoors most of the time. Sometimes we
will be sitting on the ground. Students are encouraged to bring
water bottles and sketch pads, drawing materials and cameras for recording their experiences.
What happens if the weather is bad?
In the event of inclement weather or any other emergency, field
trip will be rescheduled.

Where does the field trip begin?
Full-day trips begin at Union Station and end on Lenore K. Sullivan
Drive.
Where will we stop for lunch?
Lunch will be 30 minutes. There are several good & affordable eating places
near Kiener Plaza. Suggestions are available upon request.
How much does the Full-Day Field Trip for schools costs?
$5.00 per student with a $100.00 class minimum. (No charge for teachers
and chaperones). Although break time is included in the tour for
lunch, the cost of lunch is not included. There is a maximum of
90 students per field trip. A non-refundable booking fee of $25
will apply to total bill.
How do we pay for the trip?
Field Trip is payable by check. Please make checks payable to Maureen Kavanaugh. Check memo should read: St. Louis Walking Tour & the date. Payment is due at the start of the tour.
How do we get to the location?
Transportation to and from Downtown St. Louis is the responsibility of the school.
Students may bring money to purchase lunch or bring their lunch
with them.
What do you need from the school?
A minimum of one teacher
per field trip and one chaperone for every ten students unless teacher advises otherwise.
